NeuroSense Hits Its Primary Endpoint in Phase 2b ALS Trial

NeuroSense reported that its Phase 2b PARADIGM study of PrimeC in ALS met its primary endpoint on a TDP-43 biomarker, with the company already cleared to start Phase 3.

Shares of NeuroSense Therapeutics drew fresh attention after the company reported that its Phase 2b PARADIGM study of PrimeC in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis met its primary endpoint.

NeuroSense is a clinical-stage biotech focused on treatments for severe neurodegenerative diseases, with ALS as its lead indication. PrimeC is an oral, fixed-dose combination therapy the company is developing to slow the progression of the disease.

The upside case rests on the strength of the PARADIGM data. NeuroSense said PrimeC produced a statistically significant reduction in neuron-derived TDP-43 versus placebo at Day 180 (p=0.0421), an effect that was sustained and deeper at Day 540 (p<0.001) — the first randomized, placebo-controlled ALS study to show a treatment-associated TDP-43 reduction. The company also cited slower ALSFRS-R functional decline and an estimated 15-month median survival benefit (HR 0.35, p=0.004). NeuroSense already holds FDA clearance to begin its global Phase 3 PARAGON trial.

As a micro-cap with a single lead program, NeuroSense faces real risk that a larger, longer Phase 3 fails to replicate these mid-stage results. This is market commentary, not investment advice — small-cap biotech stocks are highly speculative and you can lose your entire investment.
