Attovia Therapeutics Prices $289M Upsized IPO, Opens 29% Above Offer on Nasdaq Debut

Attovia Therapeutics priced its initial public offering on August 4, 2026, and began trading on the Nasdaq Global Market on August 5, 2026 under the symbol "ATTO" — closing its first session at $21.90, a 29% gain on its $17.00 offer price.

The San Carlos, CA-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company priced 17,000,000 shares at $17.00 each, per the company's August 4, 2026 pricing announcement. That figure was already the top of a $15.00–$17.00 range that had originally targeted approximately $200 million at the $16.00 midpoint. The final raise — $289.0 million before underwriting discounts and other expenses — came in 45% above what Attovia first anticipated, per reporting by BioPharma Dive. Underwriters also hold a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2,550,000 shares at the offering price.

The $21.90 close on August 5 gave the company a market value of $942.3 million based on outstanding shares in its filings, per Bloomberg. By August 7, 2026, the stock had pulled back to $19.35, still above the $17.00 offer price.

The offering closed August 6, 2026. Morgan Stanley, Leerink Partners, Citigroup, and RBC Capital Markets acted as joint book-running managers; LifeSci Capital served as passive book-running manager.

Attovia was founded on December 16, 2022 by Tao Fu, Zaneta Odrowaz, and Petter Veiby, and launched in 2023 as a spinout of Alamar Biosciences. The company's platform — licensed from Alamar — is called ATTOBODY, which engineers molecules using paired heavy-chain antibody variable domains (VHHs, also known as nanobodies) in a biparatopic format, enabling monospecific, bispecific, and trispecific biologics. Lead programs include ATTO-1310 targeting chronic pruritic diseases, ATTO-2306 for atopic dermatitis, and ATTO-1091 for inflammatory bowel disease. Before going public, the company had drawn $255.8 million in private backing.

The IPO is the 16th of 2026 and ranks ninth by total proceeds, per BioPharma Dive. Twelve biotech IPOs this year have raised $250 million or more. That count already surpasses the 11 total IPOs recorded across all of 2025.

No verbatim executive statement was available from primary sources at the time of publication.

The underwriter overallotment option on up to 2,550,000 additional shares at $17.00 runs for 30 days from the August 4, 2026 pricing date. The company has not disclosed a public timeline for pipeline readouts on ATTO-1310, ATTO-2306, or ATTO-1091.
