Iowa to Have Cannabidiol Dispensary at Five Locations

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced the approval of five applications for opening dispensary to sell cannabidiol-infused drugs. The dispensaries will be opened at Waterloo, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Windsor Heights and Sioux City.

The state received a total of 21 applications from different companies, of which three companies namely MedPharm Iowa, Iowa Cannabis Company Inc. and Have a Heart Compassion Care for five different locations. These companies have a time until 9 AM, March 28, 2018, to accept the approved license, otherwise, it would be re-issued to other short-listed companies.

These dispensaries will offer cannabidiol-infused drugs and therapies to patients suffering from epilepsy and cancer. However, the patients or the caregivers have to have a valid medical cannabidiol registration card to obtain CBD medications.
