Brazil Witnesses First Ever Hospital Event on The Benefits of CBD

HempMeds® Brazil, a subsidiary of Medical Marijuana Inc. is hosting the first of its kind Hospital Cannabis Event specifically on the benefits of CBD. The company is organizing the event in collaboration with the National Association of Cannabidiol Users (ANUC). The 5-day event runs from March 19-23 spanning across three cities Canoas, Passo Fundo and Porto Alegre.

Starting at the University of Canoas with an evening lecture by Dr. Jorge Luiz Winckler, Regent Professor of Neurology at ULBRA where he will speak about his clinical study on cannabidiol as a treatment for Parkinson’s disease. HempMeds® Brazil and Dr. Kelson James Almeida, Neurologist & Technical Director at the Integrated Rehabilitation Center (CEIR) are the partners in developing this study.

Following day one, Dr. Junior Gibelli, Director of Medical Affairs at HempMeds® Brazil alongside Dr. Luiz Fernando Fonseca, Pediatric Neurologist will be holding classes on the endocannabinoid system and CBD as a medication/ treatment alternative.

On the third day, in Passo Fundo Dr. Alan Frӧhlich, Neurologist at Service of Neurology & Neurosurgery and two others will be giving a presentation on how CBD will be benefiting the health and wellness industry with its features. Closing the 5-day event will be Dr. Pablo Winckler, Neurologist & Specialist of Diabetic Neuropathy highlighting the main purpose behind the event and the benefits of CBD to Brazil.
